w/ Zac Chase

Essential Questions:

  1. What makes learning real for teachers?
  2. What can make learning real for students?
  3. What stands in the way of doing more of this?
  4. What are we going to do about it?
  5. What real stuff can we do in the classroom?

Examples of Real Stuff:

Padua : This is a ning in which my G11 students built a community through their reading of The Taming of the Shrew.

The Stories They Tell : This post describes a project that had G11 students interviewing new G9 students about the stories in their lives.
Letters from the Rush : This podcast from a G9 student utilizes primary sources to uncover his family's history.
